Handkerchief Tree is a small independent gift shop based in Bollington. We have a strong wish to keep our high street alive and are proud to be part of such a thriving community.
Our aim is to provide a welcoming space where you can browse our carefully selected gifts and cards, and enjoy the experience of choosing something special.
A key part of our mission is to showcase the creations and collections of work from local artists and crafters. By keeping creativity close to home, we offer our customers something unique, handmade and thoughtfully produced.

The Handkerchief Tree
Have you had the pleasure of seeing our local Handkerchief Tree in full bloom? May is the best time to see this unforgettable display of fluttering white bracts.
Also known as the Dove Tree (Davidia involucrata), it is a symbol of peace, rarity and renewal, native to China and discovered by Father Armand David.
There's a beautiful specimen right here in Bollington. We think it perfectly captures what the shop is about: something rare, carefully tended, and worth seeking out.
